A Right Royal Fashion Affair..

Celebrities and well known faces from everywhere gathered for the Royal Wedding today. The fashion was amazing by some and not so much by others. Hat's were a big trend today most of them being Philip Tracey designs, one of our very own. Of course a lot of colour blocking went on which is one of this season's biggest trends. My favourite colour blocker of the day has to be her Majesty, The Queen. I have to say though that I wasn't mad on Tara Palmer Tomkinson's blue outfit, I thought she looked more like a crayon than a trend setter.
The Stunning Kate Middleton
Kate wore an Alexander McQueen gown by Sarah Burton. It was elegant, with detailed lace. She looked stunning with a long Royal train. Her sister Pippa's dress was simple with button detail at the back. Kate changed dress for the evening into another Alexander design, with jeweled waistband, again another beautiful piece.

Joss Stone, the Beckhams, Sir Elton John, the daughters of Earl Spencer and Autumn and Zara Philips were just some of the guests at todays huge event, the fashion of course was flawless.

The Stunning Kate Middleton...

How stunning did Kate Middleton look today in her show stopping Alexander McQueen. She certainly arrived at the ceremony in style. She looked beautiful. The dress was designed by the amazing Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen, who took over as creative director after the designers suicide last year. I have a feeling that this is just one of the first of her stunning designs and there will be many more elegant pieces to come. Kate's hair was in the tradition half up - half down style, simple and flawless she looked with a natural smokey brown eye.

The whole wedding party looked gorgeous, and here at Flutterby we adored her sister Pippa Middleton's dress. It was such an elegant piece with beautiful button detail on the back.

The queen also looked very stylish colour blocking this season.

Follow the Daisy Chain..

This season has many different trends, there is no set theme which means for all of you, you can mix and match your look and it is a great time to show your own style. One of the key pieces however this season is the flower. Get the daisy chain going and follow the trend.

There are many ways you can wear flowers and here we will run you through how..

1. On your head - wear a headband with a flower or detail on it. A big look this season is the daisy chain, which is normally worn around the forehead. It's boho chic and is a look that anyone can pull off..
2. Get the Summer feel - Maxi dresses and playsuits are a great way to get that Summer feeling going and show off the tan. Buy a floral print playsuit from the likes of Topshop or Asos..

3. Accesorize - A floral brooch can transform a dress or an outfit. Bored of what you normally wear, stick a flower on it and change your look, your outfit can feel brand new.

4. Bracelets and watches - Don't just change your clothes with flowers, wear key pieces like flower shape watches, or different flower bracelets.

5. And finally the bag - Even if it's not something you are used to wearing or feel it looks more like your grannies curtains, try it. Floral print bags can be worn to match or to clash and will be stylish either way. Seen as colour blocking is such a huge trend this year, throw a floral bag with it and go all out ;)

Buy, Borrow and Return..

Always wanted a designer dress for an event but never been able to afford or justify paying the full price for it? We have the answer. Secretchic.ie is Ireland's first pure online designer fashion rental company. This recession friendly service set up by Dublin girl and entrepreneur Sarah Carberry allows us ladies to rent top quality designer gowns online, have it by the following day and return it in the post after use. If you ask me it couldn't be easier!
The site features dresses from casual to evening styles in sizes 6-16 including amazing designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Juicy Couture, D&G and many more. I don't know about all of you's but I'm already in cloud nine just thinking about and know where I'll be heading tonight ;)
As we all know us girls do not like to be seen in the same dress twice and especially in a social scene as small as Dublin, and this is a brilliant oppurtunity to be able to wear what we like when we like, and feel guilt free due to the low costs. With the dresses ranging from such low prices as 60 euro you just can't go wrong. This site enables us to browse, pick and order. If you love the dress and don't just want to have it for one event you also have the option of buying it at a higher price. The site suits all tastes, and caters for every type of woman and occasion.

Happy shopping :)
