Following Jay Gardner's shock announcement last week that he will not be returning, Rebecca has followed in his footsteps and is exiting too. She revealed "After a whirlwind year I would like to announce my departure from Geordie Shore. I have had a fantastic time, Cancun was crazy and I've made some friends for life. I'm leaving the show as the same girl I went in as and have no regrets."
She continued "The madness isn't over yet and you can continue to watch what I got up to in Cancun over the next few weeks on Geordie Shore. I am glad to be going out on a high, and excited about future projects." She then said a huge thanks to all of your friends, family and of course fans for their ongoing support.
She tweeted to her followers saying "You haven't seen the last of me, looking forward to future projects. Watch #Geordieshore on Tuesdays @10 to see what I get up to in Cancun."
MTV also wished all the best in everything she does and says she will be missed. We here at Flutterby really liked Rebecca and are sad to see her go. There were a few mixed opinions about her at the start but as the show went on she seemed to change people's minds about her. We wonder what the rest of the cast will think of her leaving and who will be her replacement?
